学术报告:Reliable Low Power Wireless Routing Protocols: Challenges and Approaches  报告人:Omprakash Gnawali 报告时间:2016年6月5日08:50 报告地点: 信息学院八层报告厅 报告内容简介:     Wireless communication is at the core of most IoT systems. We may have used WiFi, ZigBee, Bluetooth and related technologies in IoT systems. Many research projects improve on these protocols to achieve better reliability, speed, or energy efficiency. I will describe a protocol we designed to address some of these challenges. I will discuss how we were able to build a network of 100s of nodes and discuss the challenges in collecting data reliably from a network of wireless devices.  个人简介:     Omprakash Gnawali is an Assistant Professor at the Computer Science Department of the University of Houston. He works on wireless sensor networks and wireless sensing. In the past, he chaired TinyOS Network Protocol Working Group and contributed to open source network stack and IETF RFCs. Most recently, he is working on cross-band and cross-technology communication. He received his SB and MEng from MIT, PhD from USC, and was a postdoc at Stanford.
