On March 25^th, the 25th anniversary ceremony of Northwest University’s 1998 CUBA championship and the launch ceremony of the 2023 Sports and Culture Festival were held at Chang’an Campus.

The original team that had won the championship in the first national CUBA tournament, coaches Dong Weijun and Wang Yongsheng, players No. 4 Li Guohua, No. 6 Ji Haitao, No. 7 Tong Xiaopeng, No. 9 Zhang Huawei, No. 12 Zhang Chao and No. 13 Tu Yan also came to the site.

Since 2015, in order to enhance the comprehensive quality of university students, help them enjoy themselves in physical exercise, enhance their physical fitness, sound personality and exercise their will, and strengthen the basic role of sports in talent training, the school has integrated the athletic meets held in spring and a series of sports competitions to create the brand of Sports Culture Festival, making it a stage to showcase the sports style of teachers and students, which has now become a beautiful business card of NWU.
